While balancing the tension in this new series, I've learned to take the plot in very surprising directions by steering the reader in one angle then quickly yanking them into an emotional place they would never expect. Sometimes it's more of a conceptual turn, but the latest one is as emotional as I can get.
I'm not sure how many times I can this off pull within the restrictions of the device (device meaning plot driver and physical device = cell phone app and social network). It's working really well for now.
Third book will be finished this week. 205 pages. Lordy.
