DMBSTRCK

Prepping to send out the manuscript, I completely rewrote the opening paragraph to DMBSTRCK yesterday and it feels so much more appropriate. It captures the paranoia of growing up religious (read Catholic) and sets the novel up way better than the paragraph I had originally. I also found this image, which reminds me of my mother and the mother in DMBSTRCK. A lot of the book has to do with Recession or, specifically, a family financial in hardship. There's a part in the book where the mom has a habit of stealing cutlery from Wendy's for their superior molding. Image via thisisnthappiness.com
