Bulletproof Salesman

This is worth seeing for is sheer strangeness – how extreme violence becomes blasé as you literally try to “work” around it. And how corporations not only profit on war, but speculate where conflict will worsen. Maybe the most strange part of this documentary is that you don’t hate the protagonist at the end of the film. He just comes off like any other door-to-door salesman… charismatic, captivating, and weird.

Fidelis Cloer is a self-confessed war profiteer. In a career spanning two decades of global turmoil, he has supplied kings, presidents and the odd dictator or two with the finest luxury armored vehicles that money can buy. In his world, where security is a commodity that can be bought and sold, violence is to sales as the weather is to wheat futures.
